Anindustrial design graduate from a Singapore university was challenged in aworkshop to come up with a novel solution to a common problem using onlyordinary objects. She created a vest to protect one’s personal space from beinginvaded while traveling in the crush of crowded public trains and buses. Thevest was covered with long, flexible plastic spikes normally used to keep birdsand cats away from plants.

在上下班的高峰时间，地铁和公车上往往拥挤不堪，不只人挤人，甚至还人贴人，让乘客几乎窒息。一名新加坡大学工业设计系的毕业生针对这个问题，想出了新奇的解决方法。她设计了一种有塑胶尖钉的防护背心，让上班族在拥挤的车厢内能保有个人空间而不受侵犯。这种塑胶尖钉通常是用来保护植物免受小鸟和小猫的侵扰。

Jesusknew what it was like to lose His personal space in the commotion of crowdsdesperate to see and touch Him. A woman who had suffered from constant bleedingfor 12 years and could find no cure touched the fringe of His robe.Immediately, her bleeding stopped (Luke 8:43-44).

耶稣也曾深切体会这种没有个人空间的感受，因为喧闹的群众拼命地围挤着耶稣，想看到和摸到祂。有位妇人患了十二年的血漏病，花尽了积蓄，遍访名医，仍无法得医治。但她触摸了耶稣的衣裳?子，血漏立刻就止住了（路加福音8章43-44节）。

Jesus’question, “Who touched me?” (v. 45) isn’t as strange as it sounds. He feltpower come out of Him (v. 46). That touch was different from those who merelyhappened to accidentally touch Him.

耶稣问说：「摸我的是谁？」（45节）祂这么问其实一点也不奇怪，因为耶稣觉得有能力从祂身上出去（46节）。这妇人触摸耶稣与众人不小心碰到祂，两者是截然不同的。

Whilewe must admit that we do sometimes wish to keep our personal space and privacy,the only way we help a world of hurting people is to let them get close enoughto be touched by the encouragement, comfort, and grace of Christ in us.

当然，我们有时也想拥有个人空间和隐私。但如果要帮助心灵受伤的人，唯一的方法，就是让他们靠近我们，让他们得到我们心中来自基督的鼓励、安慰和恩典。

Lord Jesus, I want to be near Youand know You so that when I’m in contact with others they can see You throughme.
