"So, you would like to interview me?" GOD asked.

"If you have time," I said.

GOD smile. "My time is eternity... what questions do you have in mind for me?"

"What surprises you the most about humankind?"

GOD answered...

"That they get bored with childhood, that they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again."

"That they lose their health to make money... and then lose their money to restore their health."

"That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future."

"That they live as if they would never die, and die as though they had never lived."

GOD's hand took mine... and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked, "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

GOD replied, "To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved."

"To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others."

"To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness."

"To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them."

"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least."

"To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to express or show their feelings."

"To learn that two people can look at the same thing, and see it differently."

"To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves."

"Thank you for your time," I said humbly.

"Is there anything else you would like your children to know?"

GOD smiled, and said... "Just know that I am here. Always."

“你想要与我访谈吗？”上帝问道。

“如果你有时间的话。”我回答道。

上帝笑了笑，“我的时间是永恒····你有什么问题想要问我呢？”

“人类最让你惊讶的是什么？”

上帝回答道，

“他们厌倦孩提时代，急于成长，却又在历经世事后渴望重温童年。”

“他们牺牲健康赚取更多的钱财，之后又耗费钱财弥补健康。”

“他们急于思考未来，而忘记当下的时光，以至于他们既没有活在当下，也无法迈入未来。”

“他们存活的日子里仿佛永远不会有死亡般的停滞，当他们迈入死亡时也仿佛从未曾存活过。”

上帝牵着我的手带领着我，在寂静中过往片刻。

我接着询问道，“作为一个孩子的父亲，有哪些生命中的课程是你希望你的儿女去学习的？”

上帝回答道，“他们当认识到，他们并不能使别人去爱他们，他们所能做的就是让别人感受到被爱。”

“拿自己和他人攀比争胜不是我所喜悦的。”

“通过不断地在各种境况中原谅他人去习得饶恕。”

“他们当明白揭开所爱的人内心深处的伤疤不过需要几秒钟，然而要再次治愈却要花上许多年。”

“一个真正富足的人不是拥有的最多，而是索取的最少。”

“那些真正深深的爱着你的人，有时候可能并不知道如何传达他们对你的感情。”

“两个人看同一样事物，还会有不同的看法。”

“不要仅仅饶恕需要饶恕的人，要完全的饶恕，甚至包括自己。”

“感谢你百忙之中来接受采访。”我带着恭谨的谢意。

“还有哪些是你希望你的儿女知晓的？”

上帝微笑着说，“只需要知道我永远与他们同在。”
